Sydney Opera House, Australia

dalau™ Ltd was one of the chosen suppliers in the construction of the Sydney Opera House designed by Architect Jørn Utzon’s.

The building covers 1.8 hectares (4.4 acres) of land and is 183 m (600 ft) long and 120 m (394 ft) wide at its widest point. It is supported on 588 concrete piers sunk as much as 25 m (82 ft) below sea level. Construction of the shells was one of the most difficult engineering tasks ever to be attempted. The revolutionary concept demanded equally revolutionary engineering and building techniques. It was opened in 1973 by Queen Elizabeth II.

dalau ™ Ltd assisted in stage I of the project by supplying over 100 slide pads on which the Sydney Opera House is built.  These slide pads allow movement during tidal surges.

The Sydney Opera House has become one of the most recognized landmarks in the World.  Visit
