CNC Controls
The new GE Fanuc 18i-MB5 and Heidenhain iTNC 530 are ideal for 5-axis simultaneous machining. All controls are supplied with shopfloor programming as standard for even greater versatility.
High Rigidity Dynamic Structure
The CFV5 is based on the tried and tested CFV cast frame structure, providing a high rigidity construction with base, column and spindle carrier castings for superior static and dynamic stiffness, giving an impeccable surface finish, especially at high speeds. CFV5 boasts axis ranges of X: 600mm (23.6”) Y: 540mm (21.2”) Z: 540mm (21.2”) and workpiece capacity up to 400mm (15.7) in diameter and 300 mm (11.8”) high.

High speed aerospace and die and machining
Improved angular cutter access reduces tool length, giving greater tool stiffness, to increase feedrates and reduce cycle times.
Better cutting conditions particularly avoiding zero cutting speed on ball nosed cutters improves surface finish, accuracy and tool life whilst again reducing cycle times.
Rotating axes give smoother cutting inside corners more friendly to the machine tool.
